James Davies joins Flowing Bee with a rare track record of repeatedly building and scaling category-defining technology companies.
An ex-Blackbird and SoftBank portfolio co-founder, he previously served as the founding CTO of Skedulo, where he wrote the platform’s first line of code, delivered an enterprise-ready MVP in six weeks, and scaled the organisation from inception to more than $100M in funding from SoftBank and Microsoft Ventures.
Under his technical leadership, Skedulo became a global enterprise SaaS platform and, at its peak, powered approximately 10% of all US COVID-19 vaccination scheduling.
He also played a pivotal early role at Pendula—backed by Octopus Ventures—where he architected a high-volume automation and messaging infrastructure capable of processing millions of transactions per day for large B2B2C clients.
As founder of AI automation venture Obdina, James has continued to push the frontier of agentic workflows, orchestration tooling, and enterprise-grade automation. He has developed natural-language workflow builders, visual orchestration environments, and durable runtimes that blend human decision-making with AI-driven execution.
This combination of entrepreneurial instinct, technical excellence, and enterprise-scale execution uniquely positions James to guide Flowing Bee through its next phase of innovation and growth.
